KRCL Successfully Defends Physician Client in Lawsuit Alleging Tortious Interference
Directors Karin Zaner and Richard Hathaway of Kane Russell Coleman & Logan have successfully defended a physician client in a contentious jury trial in which the plaintiff alleged breach of contract, fraud, fraudulent inducement, and tortious interference. The lawsuit, which arose from a disagreement over a contract for sharing medical equipment, was tried in the 14th Civil District Court in Dallas County. The jury found that the defendants had not interfered with prospective business relations and that it had been the plaintiff who breached the contract. In a subsequent appeal, the defendants were awarded $1,155,037 in compensatory damages and legal fees.
